the game begins with a short lesson on the use of a compass and map, followed by an exercise to find out each participant's pace-count. participants will also be taught how to read the ridge lines and contours.

next, participants will be despatched in pairs or teams to explore nature reserves or parks in singapore with their colleagues, using a compass and map.

a 'treasure hunt' can also be conduct in small teams or pairs, depending on the number of attendees, in a location of your preference. teams will have to collect a list of clues or items as they journey through the location.

at certain venues, there will be alternative forms of transportation like bicycles or buses.

distance covered can be adjusted to suit the physical fitness of participants.

orienteering - night

night orienteering will be similar to the day orienteering, except that there will be an additional lesson on getting directions from the stars (if weather permits).
