angsana resort
reminds us of the andaman (in langkawi) when we were there
with ermenergildo zegna for their teambuilding in february
2006.
both resorts
are targeted at the high end market, with rooms that are nicely
decorated and staff with excellent service. both resorts too
have a circular front porch where vehicles come in.
we were greeted
by resort staff where ever we went, and they volunteered their
help whenever they saw us carrying anything bulky.
initially we
were a little sceptical about their support for teambuilding
professionals as we thought that few companies will send thier
staff to such a high end resort for team building.
we were wrong
(partially).
not only were
the staff (edwin and dian) flexible in reserving areas for
teambuilding activities (other than not letting us use the
pool for water games) they were responsive in our requests
like arranging tea break at the beach and arranging sofas
in the function room!
but we were not
entirely wrong, about the fact that few companies send staff
to their resort for teambuilding. while we were conducting
the teambuilding activities at the beach, one of the staff
was sent by the resort training manager to take notes (and
pictures!), possibly to incorporate into their own teambulding
programmes.
their beach front
is a little narrow, so for bigger groups we will not recommend
going there. also the beach front is also not as well kept
as their neighbour (club med). however, the rooms are in better
condition.
all in all, it
will cost more to go to angsana for your teambuilding when
you add up all the meals and seminar charges but the living
condition is slightly more comfortable. recommended if you
are very particular about having big and nice rooms and have
budget to spare.
